ACCOMODATIONS

We will be fishing in a 21 foot, 2012 Phoenix Bass Boat, powered by a 250 SHO Yamaha motor. You may bring your own equipment, or I can provide equipment for you. I provide tackle, water, Gatorade, and ice. You are welcome to bring your own food and snacks.

CLOTHING/ATTIRE

Please be mindful of the weather and lake conditions. In the Spring and Fall, bring a rain suit and warm clothing, Oklahoma weather is predictibly unpredictable. Layers are best. Throughout the day, you can always remove layers should you get too warm. The mornings are cool, even in the Summer months, and the days can get very hot. I also recommend you bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.

Broken Bow Lake is nestled in the Ouachita Mountains, located in southeast Oklahoma. Covering over 14,200 acres with 180 miles of shoreline, it is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the southern United States. The lake, with a normal pool elevation of 599.5 ft., was constructed in 1969 with the damming of the Mountain Fork River. Today, Broken Bow Lake is known as the cleanest and clearest lake in Oklahoma.

The average depth of the lake is 62 ft., which at times can cause frustration to anglers or at times provide an angler with some of the most productive fishing ever. With places on the lake that can reach 185 ft. in depth, Broken Bow Lake is without the luxury of any type of grass fish. However, for those anglers who are challenged by the opportunity to fish rocks, timber and off-shore structure, this is the lake for you.
